From University Lab to Global Equipment Brand
Sunward was founded in 1999 by a team of engineers from Central South University, bringing academic hydraulic research into commercial construction equipment. Today, with 2,800 employees and 250,000 m² of manufacturing capacity, we produce over 12,000 machines annually — shipped to contractors, rental companies, and municipal operators in 60 countries.
Our R&D investment consistently exceeds 8% of annual revenue — funding the development of electric drive systems, intelligent hydraulic controls, and IoT fleet management technologies that differentiate Sunward from conventional equipment manufacturers.
