The last one is what almost got me twice. If someone asks you "top loader or front loader?" and you don't know the answer, find out before you sign anything. There's no shame in not knowing. There is a lot of shame in installing a $30,000 mistake and calling it a purchase.
Here's what I've repeated to every project manager who's asked: the real price of a machine is never written on the quote. It's written in your downtime logs, your parts invoices, and your service records. That's the equation that matters.
